So, What’s the difference between the Juki DX5 and Juki DX7 Sewing Machines?

There are a few differences between the two machines worth mentioning. The DX7 offers 287 stitches and 4 fonts, while the DX5 has 185 stitches and 3 fonts.

As far as accessories go, the DX5 has 10 and the DX7 offers 14. This includes the standard presser foot on both machines.

The DX7 also has an LED light in both the stitch area, and in the throat space. While the DX5 does have an LED light, it only has one in the stitch area and not the throat area.

You can change the stitch length and width by turning the knob on the DX7, while the DX5 offers buttons in place of that. Neither is really good or bad, just more of a personal preference thing.

Lastly, the DX7 comes with a table, which is absent in the DX5. The table gives you extra space to lay your project on. Though it is possible to purchase a table as an optional accessory for the DX5 if you prefer that machine for whatever reason.

The machine allows you to shift to straight stitch with ease; you just have to slide the front lever to switch to the single needle hole.
