We are currently looking to publish original craft tutorials with original images and/or videos on the following topics. Content you pitch should only be published on Romney Ridge Farms & Crafts. Duplicate content will not be accepted.

Submission Process:

  1. Pitch Submission: Before writing the full article, please submit a brief pitch outlining your topic, key points, and why it is relevant to our audience.
  2. Response Time: We will review your pitch promptly and respond within 5 business days. If approved, you can proceed with the full article.
  3. Editing: Our editorial team may provide feedback for revisions, and we reserve the right to edit articles for formatting and grammar after submission.

Content Guidelines:

  1. Relevance: Ensure your content aligns with the theme and topics covered on our site. Please see the “what kind of content are we looking for” section and tailor your pitch accordingly.
  2. Grammar: All articles should be submitted in English and checked for correctness before submission. Low-quality submissions will not be published.
  3. Originality: We only accept original content. Your article should not have been published elsewhere, including your own blog. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
  4. Depth and Detail: Provide in-depth information and valuable insights. Aim for articles that are informative, engaging, and add significant value to our readers.
  5. Tone and Style: Romney Ridge Farms & Crafts articles are generally written in a casual tone, but they should still be written professionally.
  6. Word Count: Our minimum word count for submissions is 800 words. Longer articles should be well-structured with clear headings and subheadings for readability.
  7. Original images: As we are mainly looking to publish original crafting tutorials, ALL submissions must include original images to accompany your tutorial. Submissions without images will not be accepted.

Compensation:

We appreciate the time and effort you invest in contributing to Romney Ridge Farms & Crafts. As a token of our gratitude, we offer the following compensation options:

  1. Monetary Compensation: We can provide a payment of $50 for each accepted article.
  2. Link Back to Your Website: Alternatively, you can choose to receive a link back to your personal website or blog in the author bio section.

Please specify your preferred compensation method when submitting your article or pitch.

Formatting Guidelines:

  1. Headings and Subheadings: Use clear headings and subheadings to organize your content. This enhances readability and helps readers grasp key points.
  2. Bullet Points and Lists: Break down complex information into bullet points or lists to make it more digestible. This includes things like materials lists.
  3. Images and Multimedia: Include relevant images, charts, or multimedia to complement your content. Ensure you have the right to use any media you include. Use only original images.
  4. Use short paragraphs: Please try to make your paragraphs 3-5 lines in length. This makes it much easier to read content, especially on mobile devices.

Author Bio:

You may include a short bio (around 50 words) introducing yourself. All submissions may also include 2 social media profile links, and if you’ve opted for a link back to your site in lieu of compensation, also a link to your website or Etsy store.
